La Nouvelle Chapelle was a site-specific, ritual installation in an abandoned 19th century chapel examining the relationship between the dark feminine and the destruction of empire. The goal of the project was to reclaim a patriarchal, monotheistic space using bones, ritually-infused found objects, and magically-imbued natural materials to create a new mythology around a syncretic, post-Christian, post-capitalist spirituality. Built under the Scorpio new moon of 2023, the project ran for 9 months before being removed by local authorities.
